[The idea of buying a flat in Cape Town is tremendously enticing especially as I have little to thank England for. But I am not at all satisfied about the future of S. Africa & its situation as a World Power. The vulgar criticism of American and English Liberals will tend to aggravate rather than appease the friction latent in a land where the proportion of black to white is as 4 to 1. And the prospects make me feel uneasy.]
